Dr.  Maurice D. Valentini has been in the optical industry since 1984. He began his optometric career as an Optician working in fabricating and fitting eyewear for several years before deciding to return to school to obtain his Optometry degree. Dr. Valentini received his Doctoral degree at the Michigan College of Optometry, in Big Rapids, MI in 2000. From there he completed a residency in ocular disease at the Battle Creek Veterans Hospital in Battle Creek, MI in 2001. While in school Dr. Valentini received several academic scholarships and the prestigious Sola Optics scholarship for demonstrating excellence in the field of Ophthalmic Optics. Dr. Valentini has worked extensively in private practices in Michigan, Alabama, and Texas, with emphasis on geriatric and pediatric eye care, ocular disease, and laser vision correction. Dr. Valentini recently completed a specialty course in glaucoma management allowing him to practice to the full scope of his licensure here in Texas to better serve the needs of his patients. Dr. Valentini’s hobbies include motorcycling, fitness, tennis, reading, and traveling.
